日本よりも中国を重視か？：Placing China Above Japan?

「毎日」の記事（下のリンク参照）によると、日本の政府当局者たちは、次期国務長官ヒラリー・クリントンがアジアおよび日本に対してどのような行動を取るかを懸念しているとのこと。
ヒラリー・クリントンは中国が米国とアジアとの関係で最も重要な国であるとみなしていることがよく知られている。ただし、それは必ずしもよい意味で、重要といっているわけではないが。
いずれにしても、日本の政治家と当局者は、次期政権が何をするかに心配するのではなく、もっと積極的に米国の対アジア政策に関して日本の主張を打ち出すべきではないだろうか。

She is well known for her stance toward China, which she regards as the most important in US-Asia relations, although not necessarily in a positive sense.
In any case, Japanese politicians and officials should be more active in presenting Japan's case in the context of US policy toward Asia, rather than just worrying about what the next US administration might do in that regard.
