「Daily Yomiuri」　の記事（下のリンク参照）によれば、日本で登録された外国人グループで、中国人が最大のグループとなり、長年トップだった朝鮮人（南北）グループを数の上で超えたとのことである。
中国人が増えているのは、日本で中国系の企業が伸びており、中国のビジネス関係者が中国人留学生とともに急増しているため。
3番目に多いのはブラジル人グループで、その次がフィリピン人グループ。
ちなみに「Japan TImes」の記事（下のリンク参照）にあるように、本日最高裁で、フィリピン人の母親をもつ10人の子供は日本国籍を与えられるべきという判決が下されたとのことである。

According to the Daily Yomiuri's article (see the link above), Chinese residents have become the largest group of registered foreigners in Japan, surpassing Korean residents, who have been the most dominant group for a long time.
Chinese population has been rapidly increasing these days, because Chinese companies are growing with more Chinese busniesspeople, as well as Chinese students, coming to Japan.
The third largest group is Brazilians, followed by Filipinos.
By the way, Japan's Supreme Court just ruled earlier today that 10 children of Filipino women should be granted the right to Japanese nationality, according to the Japan Times article (see the link above).
