困ったインフレ悪化傾向：Troublesome Inflation Trends

少ない景気対策の余地：Little Room for Stimulative Policy

本日の「Asahi.com」の記事（下のリンク参照）によると、世界的な小麦などの食料価格の高騰によって、インフレが加速しているとのこと。エネルギー価格上昇もこの傾向に拍車をかけている。
このことは、米景気が急速に減速している現状では、少なくとも世界のどこかですでに「スタグフレーション」が起こっていることを意味している。
問題は、インフレが悪化している中では、景気を刺激するような財政・金融政策をとりにくいことで、不況の悪化は避けられないようにみえる。

As it is reported in the Asahi.com article (see the link above), inflation seems accelerating, according to higher food prices, especially wheat prices in the world market. Energy price increases are also contributing to this trend.
This might mean that "stagflation" is already happening in at least some parts of the world, as the U.S. economy is slowing down substantially these days.
What is troublesome is that, given the inflation trend, it is now difficult to adopt stimulative policies, whether fiscal or monetary, to avoid further recession.
