ロス住宅価格山を越す：LA Home Prices Over the Hill

サンディエゴでは価格下落：Prices Fall in San Diego

ロサンゼルス・タイムズ（下のリンク参照）によれば、南カリフォルニアの住宅市場は山を越えつつあり、ロサンゼルス郡の住宅価格は1年前に比べて4.7%上昇しただけで、6年ぶりの低い上昇率であった。その一方、サンディエゴ郡では価格が下落し続けている。
4.7%はロサンゼルス郡の歴史的平均上昇率7%よりも低く、また住宅の販売戸数は1年前に比べて21%も下落した。
これらの事実は、南カリフォルニア地域の住宅市場がかなり冷え込んできている様子であり、一部では実際に価格が下落しつつあることを意味している。何人かの専門家は、住宅販売が底を打つのには約1年かかると予想しているが、もちろん現時点では誰も確信を持って言うことはできない。

It is reporte in L.A.Times (see above) that the housing market in Southern California is hitting a ceiling, and L.A. County home prices rose at their lowest rate (4.7% year over year) in six years, while San Diego County's prices continued to fall.
The 4.7% rise is lower than the county's historical average growth rate of 7%, and the number of homes sold in L.A. County showed a 21% decrease from a year ago.
All this means that the housing market in the region seems to be slowing down significantly and the prices are actually declining in some parts of Southern California. Experts say that it may take about a year for home sales to bottom out, but no one is sure at this point, of course.
