槙文彦デザインのWTCビル：WTC Tower Designed by Mr. Maki

本日の日経夕刊にも写真入りで報道されているように、ニューヨークの世界貿易センター跡地に建設される3棟の高層ビルのデザインが昨日公開された。それらをデザインしたのは、ノーマン・フォスター、リチャード・ロジャース、および槙文彦という3人の世界的建築家たち。
ちなみに槙文彦は「代官山ヒルサイドテラス」など国内外の重要な建物の設計を手がけている。彼の貢献はもっと一般の日本人の間で大きく評価されるべきではないだろうか。

As reported in this evening's edition of Nikkei Newspaper, the designs for three towers at the World Trade Center site in New York were unveiled yesterday, and the designers are three world-renowned architects, Norman Foster, Richard Rogers and Fumihiko Maki.
Mr. Maki has designed many important buildings in Japan and abroad, including Daikanyama Hillside Terrace. His contribution should be more explicitly acknowledged by the general public in Japan.
