外国人の日本売り続く：Japan Dumped by Foreign Investors

まず日本自身を救うべき：First, Save Japan Itself

本日の「Asahi.com」の記事（下のリンク参照）によると、外国人投資家は 日本株をこの1月も売り越しており、過去5週間連続売り越しで、これは2002年秋以来のことである。
こうなっているのは、米国のサブプライムローン問題のためだけではなく、むしろ日本国内の問題で、景気の見通しの急速な悪化や外資規制への動きに対する懸念が理由となっている。
したがって、日本は米国景気の回復を待つのではなく、景気対策や経済改革によって日本経済を再生させて日本自身を救うことをまずやるべきである。現在、東京で開催中のG7会議で、この点について何か打ち出されることを期待したい。

It is reported in today's Asahi.com (see the link above) that foreign investors are continuing dumping Japanese stocks in January, in fact, for 5 streight weeks, the first time since fall 2002.
This is not only due to the U.S. subprime loan problem, but also due to Japan's domestic issues such as a worsening business prospect and concerns about "moves restricting foreign investments."
Japan needs to save itself, rather than waiting for U.S. economic recovery, by revitalizing the Japanese economy with stimulous policies and economic reforms. Hopefully, the G7 meeting, currently under way in Tokyo, will produce something along this line.
