金融アナリストがインドに移動：India Attracting Bank Analysists

危機を逆手に取る「勝者」：Emerging "Winner" from the Crisis

「ロサンゼルス・タイムズ」の記事（下のリンク参照）によると、このところ金融アナリストの仕事がインドに移動しているが、これは米国の金融機関が昨今の金融市場の状況に鑑みて、コスト削減を図っている結果だという。
これはある意味で興味深い展開で、サブプライム危機に直面する金融機関がバックオフィス機能を縮小するので、インドはその悪影響を受けるという報道があったことが思い起こされる。
結局、インドはこの機会にバックオフィスのようなローエンドの仕事からリサーチのようなハイエンドの仕事へと雇用の高度化を図り、ソフトウェア中心の経済を支えていく「勝者」として危機を乗り越えつつあるといえよう。

According to the LA Times article linked above, more and more financial analysts' jobs are being moved to India, because US financial institutions would like to save money under the present circumstances in the financial market.
This is an interesting development, since it has been reported elsewhere that India might well hurt due to possible downsizing of backoffice functions by financial institutions that are facing the subprime crisis.
After all, India seems to be emerging as a "winner," in taking advantage of this crisis for the sake of moving upmarket from low-end backoffice jobs to high-end research jobs to support its soft-ware oriented economy.
