G7が中国元切り上げ要望：G7 Urges China to Revalue Yuan

近い将来の見通しはなし：No Prospect for Immediate Relief

新聞報道（下のリンク参照）にもあるように、今週金曜にG7の財政金融担当者は、世界の経済的不均衡を和らげて金融市場の不安定性を抑えるためにも中国元の切り上げを要望した。
中国元に対するG7の声明は、これまでで最も強い調子のものであったが、それでも中国がその要求に応えて行動を取る可能性は少ないといえよう。
さらに激動の金融市場が近い将来落ち着く見通しもまだついていないというのが現実であろう。

It is reported in the newspaper article (see the link above) that on Friday top finance officials from the G7 countries urged China to let its currency rise in order to help ease economic imbalances and soothe unstable financial markets in the world.
The statement about the Chinese currency was the strongest yet from the G7, but still China seems unlikely to listen and act in response to the demand by the G7 countries.
Furthermore, there seems to be no good prospect for calming down turbulent financial markets anytime soon either.
