日本製品のリコール続く：Made-in-Japan Recalled Again

リチウムイオン電池の欠陥：Defects of lithium-ion Batteries

日本のメーカーによるコスト削減努力が、ついに製品の質の低下をもたらし始めたようである。
実際、ノキアが松下電器の子会社によって作られた携帯電話用電池のリコールを世界中で発表した（下のリンク参照）。
過去には三洋やソニーの製造したリチウムイオン電池がリコールされて、日本製品の質や安全性が疑問視され始めている。

As a result of cost-cutting efforts on the part of Japanese manufacturers, product quality may be beginning to suffer.
In fact, Nokia has just announced a worldwide recall of cellphone batteries made by a subsidiary of Matsushita Electric (see the link above).
In the past, lithium-ion batteries made by Sanyo and Sony were recalled, and the qualify and safety of "made-in-Japan" products are now being questioned.
