連立与党過半数を失う可能性：Coalition to Lose Majority

小沢一郎は首相に適格か：Ichiro Ozawa Suitable as PM?

本日の各新聞が報道しているように（下のリンク参照）、ここ数ヶ月の安倍政権の人気凋落によって、来週の参議院選挙で自公連立与党は多数党の位置を失う可能性が高い。
その代わりに、民主党が参議院の最大勢力になるかもしれず、近い将来日本の政権交代が実現する可能性もある。
そうなれば問題は、小沢一郎民主党党首が日本の首相に相応しいかどうかということで、それについては日本国民はまだ決断を下していないと思われる。

It is reported in today's newspapers (see the above links) that the ruling coalition is likely to lose its majority in next week's Upper House election, due to the sharply declining popularity of the Abe administration for the last few months.
Instead, the Democratic Party of Japan could become the largest force in the Upper House, possibly leading to a fundamental change in Japan's political leadership in the near future.
Then the question would become whether Democratic Party leader Ichiro Ozawa will be a suitable person as Japan's prime minister. Quite a few voters are yet to decide on that.
