格差問題・朝日VS日経：Asahi vs. Nikkei on Disparity Issue

異なる見出しの印象：Different Impressions by Headlines

今日の夕刊で、2006年版「労働経済白書」によれば若者の間（特に20歳代）で所得格差が拡大しつつあるように見えるというニュースが取り上げられている。
朝日新聞はこれを1面のトップ記事として「広がる格差」という見出しで報じているのに対して、日経新聞は2面により小さな記事で取り上げ、見出しも「将来の格差拡大懸念」（ネット版ではこの見出しさえも削除）としている。この違いは、両紙による所得格差の解釈と評価の違いを反映していることは明らかである。

In the evening edition of today's newspapers it is reported that income disparity among young people, especially those in their 20s, seems to be increasing, according to this year's White Paper on Labor Economy,
While Asahi Shimbun takes this up as the leading article on the front page with the headline "Widening Disparity," Nikkei Shimbun puts up a smaller piece on the second page with the headline "Concern About Future Diparity"(even this headline is dropped in its net version). This difference in headlines is clearly reflecting differences in interpretation and evaluation of income disparity between the two newspapers.
