団塊世代の不安：Babyboomers' Concern

今朝の日経新聞（p. 42）によれば、日本の団塊世代の3人に1人は自分の技能が後の世代に受け継がれていないと感じているようである。
その最大の理由は、技を伝える若手がいない、つまり人不足であり、その他に会社のサポート不足や時間不足という理由が挙げられている。
日本経済はこれまで代々受け継がれてきた優秀な生産技能の基礎の上に築かれてきたが、その将来にとってこれは深刻な問題を投げかけているといえよう。

It is reported in today's Nikkei Shimbun (p. 42) that about a third of the babyboomers in Japan are concerned about the fact that their job skills may not be succeeded by the next generation of workers.
The biggest reason is the lack of younger workers to succeed their skills on the job. Other reasons include the lack of management support and the lack of time.
This could become a serious matter for the future of the Japanese econmoy which has been based on excellent production skills, handed down from generation to generation.
