低落続く内閣支持率：Ever-dropping Cabinet Approval Rating

安定感とリーダーシップ欠如：Lack of Stability and Leadership

今朝の読売と朝日両紙の1面で報道されているように、安倍内閣の支持率は依然として低下しており、今や若者だけでなく30〜40代の中年層の過半数も安倍首相の格差対策などの政策運営に対して不支持を表明している。
この不支持の主な理由は、安倍首相に「安定感」と「リーダーシップ」が欠けているというもの。
興味深いのは、自民党の支持率も安倍内閣支持率に並んで低落している一方で、民主党の人気も落ちる一方ということで、そのために無党派層が大きく膨らんでいるのが現状である。

Today it is reported on the front pages of both Yomiuri and Asahi that Abe Cabinet approval rating is still dropping, and now a majority of middle-aged voters (of 30s-40s), in addition to young voters, disapprove PM Abe's handling of various issues such as economic inequality.
The main reason for disapproval seems to be that voters are disappointed at "lack of stability and leadership" on the part of PM Abe.
An interesting thing is that while the LDP's popularity is dropping together with PM Abe's approval rating, the Democratic Party of Japan is yet to capitalize on this situation, and is rather losing its support, leaving a larger pool of voters without commitment to any party yet.
