I C から I I革命へ：From "I C" to "I I" Revolution

以前、米国のベンチャービジネスの世界に「I C革命」の嵐が吹き荒れているといわれていた。つまりシリコンバレーなどでベンチャービジネスの多くが外国人によって起業され、それが主としてI（インド人）とC（中国人）だったからである。
それが今や「I I革命」に取って変わられたという記事が本日の日経夕刊（p. 3）に載っている。それによると、全米ベンチャーキャピタル協会の調査の結果、I（インド人）とI（イスラエル人）が米国でベンチャービジネスを起業した外国人の数で1位と2位であることが分かった。ただし、台湾が僅差で3位となっているので、中国人全体としては依然として2位かもしれないが・・

It used to be said that U.S. venture business was undergoing the "I C" revolution, where I C stands for Indian and Chinese, who predominantly start up new venture business in the U.S., especially in Silicon Valley.
According to the evening edition of today's Nikkei Newspaper, "I C" is now replaced with "I I," where I I stands for India and Israel, which are now the two largest sources for venture business entrepreneurs in the U.S., although Taiwan is quite close to Israel (so, Chinese as a whole may be still second) in the ranking just published by National Venture Capital Association.
