ガソリン価格の国際比較：Int'l Comparison of Gas Prices

9.85ドルから12セントまで：From $9.85 to $0.12

ロサンゼルス・タイムズの記事（下のリンク参照）に、世界の主要都市のガソリン価格のリストが載っている。それを見ると大変興味深い。
西欧諸国がもっとも深刻な影響を受けており、米国はそれに比べれば（カナダに比べても）まだましであるが、「アメリカ流の生活」はガソリン価格高騰によって厳しい状況に置かれていることは確かである。
もう一つ興味深いのは、香港のガソリン価格が北京（おそらく中国全体）に比べると2倍以上高いことで、おそらく香港のドライバーは近隣の州に行って安いガソリンを入れているのであろう。

There is an interesting list of gas prices around the globe in the LA Times article (linked above).
It looks like Western European countries are hardest hit, and the U.S. is still in a relatively fortunate position (compared with Europe and even with Canada), although the "American way of life" is severely being affected by high gasoline prices in the U.S.
One other interesting fact is that the average gas price in Hong Kong is more than twice as high as that in Beijing (and probably in China in general), although Hong Kong is supposed to be part of China. Many HK drivers may well go out to a neighboring province to get cheaper gas, if they can.
