日本版「国家ファンド」の提案：Proposal for Japanese SWF

先進国には前例なし：No Advanced Economies Have One

本日付の「Japan Times」の記事（下のリンク参照）によれば、金融に関する自民党の部会が、日本版の「国家ファンド」を創設すべきかどうかの検討を始めるよう提言を行ったとのこと。
日本が「国家ファンド」を創設するというのは、どうみても問題のあるアイデアで、世界を見渡すと政府の支配力が強い中国やシンガポールや中東諸国が「国家ファンド」を運営しているが、主要先進国で「国家ファンド」を持っている国は一つもないことを心すべきであろう。

It is reported in today's Japan Times article (see the link above) that an LDP working group on finance has just proposed a feasibility study on creating a Japanese version of SWF (sovereign wealth fund).
This idea is highly controversial, to say the least, because only state-dominating economies such as China, Singapore and some Middle Eastern nations have SWFs, and no major advanced economies have such a fund, as pointed out in this article.
