深刻な医師不足問題：Serious Doctor Shortage Problem in Japan

拒否される救急患者が増加：More Emergency Patients Rejected

AFPニュースの記事（下のリンク参照）によると、日本における医師不足は大きな問題で、当直の医師がいないために救急患者が病院によって拒否されるケースがますます増えてきて事態は悪化の一途をたどっている。
オーバータイムに働き急患も受け入れるような医者は今よりもはるかに多くの報酬を与えられるべきという議論もなされているが、しかし日本では医師の報酬は厳しく規制されているので、それは実現不可能である。
つまり、この深刻な問題の解決への道はまったく見えていないといえよう。

According to today's AFP news article (see the link above), doctor shorage is a serious problem in Japan, and the situation is getting worse, as more and more emergency patients are being rejected by hospitals due to shortage of on-duty doctors.
It may be argued that doctors who work hard, even overtime dealing with emergency patients, should be paid much more than they are now. However, this is not possible, due to strict regulations over salaries for doctors.
In other words, no solution is in sight regarding this serious problem in Japan.
