「笑い測定機」の開発： "Laughter Measuring Machine" Developed

測定単位は「アッハ」：Laughter Measured by "aH"

本日付のAFPの記事および数日前のAsahiとYomiuriの記事（下のリンク参照）によると、木村洋二関西大教授のチームが「笑い測定機」を開発し、「アッハ」という単位で笑いの度合いの数値を測定するという。
笑いで振動する体の部分の皮膚にセンサーを張り付け、笑いとともに発生する微弱な電気を測定するらしい。面白いのは、本当に笑わないと数値に表れないことである。
開発費は約600万円で、現在パテントを申請中とのこと。
どうやら笑い事ではなく、まじめな研究開発のようである。

Accoring to today's AFP article and recent Asahi and Yomiuri articles (see the links above), Kansai University Professor Yoji Kimura has developed a machine to measure laughter by unit "aH."
To measure laughter, he attaches sensors on the skin of the part of the body that moves with laugher.
What is interesting is that by using this machine one can tell if a person is really laughing or just pretending.
He has spent about 6 million yen to develop this machine and is now applying for a patent.
It sounds like this is not a laughing matter.
