新学習指導要領案が発表：New Education Guidelines Unveiled

今回は基礎l学力重視に：Toward "Back to Basics"

本日の「The Japan Times」の記事（下のリンク参照）によると、新学習指導要領案が文部科学省によって発表された。今回の案では、生徒は基礎学力をつけるために例えば算数の授業時間を増やし、その代わり自由研究の時間を減らすという。
これは、これまでの「ゆとり教育」の方針の転換に他ならない。
しかし、はたしてこれで意図した通り生徒の学力が向上するかどうかはまだ時間をかけてみないと分からないといえよう。

It is reported in today's Japan Times (see the link above) that revised education curriculum guidelines were announced by the Education Ministry yesterday. In this revision, pupils learn more basics like math, while reducing class hours in volunatry studies,
This is a turnaround from its previous education poliy, namely, "Yutori education."
However, we will wait and see if this revision will help improve students' scholastic capabilities, as intended.
