本日（2月17日）日本工業大学の神田キャンパスで、国際P2M学会国際部会のセミナーが開催された。最初のスピーカーは馬越恵美子桜美林大学教授で、「日本の異（超）文化経営最前線」というテーマでプレゼンがあり、日本のこの分野での研究、教育、ビジネスにおける問題と展望が提示された。結局のところ、グローバル化の中で日本の個人や組織を再活性化するために、異（超）文化経営が実践できる人材をどう教育し訓練するかということが極めて重要な問題という結論であった。

次のスピーカーは木下俊彦早大教授で、「日本のITソフトウェア産業と人材開発」というテーマで簡単な論点整理があった。結論としては、日本のITソフト産業の今後の発展のために、コストを削減するとともに創造的な方法でソフトとハードを組み合わせて、国内の顧客を発掘し商品価値を拡大していくことが重要というもの。その目的達成のために、P2Mのアプローチがこの分野の人材開発に少しは役立つかもしれないというのが木下教授の意見であった。
さらなる議論は4月に開催される国際P2M学会の総会のシンポジウムで行われる予定である。

At today's P2M International Seminar held at the Kanda Campus of Nippon Institute of Technology, the first speaker was Professor Emiko Magoshi of Obirin University, who made a presentation on "Frontiers of Cross (Inter)-cultural Management in Japan," where she pointed out various problems about research, education and business application as well as future prospects for this field in Japan. Her bottom-line question is how to educate and train those who practice cross (trans)-cultural management for revitalization of individuals and organizations in Japan in the global context.

The second speaker was Waseda University Professor Toshihiko Kinoshita, who briefly explained about his thoughts on "Japanese IT Software Industry and Human Resource Development." His conclusion is that for the future development of Japanse IT software industry it is important to increase domestically oriented customers and enhance product/service values by reducing costs and combining software with hardware in creative ways. Hopefully, the P2M approach may be helpful in developing human resources for this purpose.
Further discussions are planned on this topic at the P2M General Meetings in April.
